About us
Let us introduce ourselves
We are the Culturele Raad Wierden: a group of enthusiastic volunteers from all villages in the municipality. Every season we put together a varied programme of music, theatre, lectures and activities for children.
We do not do this alone. We work together with Boekhandel Reterink, the Wierden library and the Municipality of Wierden, so that culture stays close to home.
Since 1988
Our history
The foundation Stichting Culturele Raad Wierden was established on 11 October 1988 on the initiative of a group of committed residents who wanted to give culture a permanent place in the municipality. Since then we have brought special performances and activities to Wierden, Enter, Hoge Hexel and Notter-Zuna every year.
For all residents
Our mission
The Culturele Raad Wierden is a foundation subsidised by the municipality. Its aim is to introduce the residents of the municipality of Wierden, of all ages, to different forms of culture.
Our board
All board members are part of a working group, each organising events in its own field or theme. There is also an executive board.
